On Nov. 2, 2009, five people undertook to disarm the Trident II missiles at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, as an outcry against the illegality and immorality of such weapons.  "We are responsible... for this threat of first-strike terrorism hanging over the community of nations, rich and poor...  Such planning, preparation, and deployment is a blasphemy against the Creator of life, imaged in each human being."

As the U.S. led war in Afghanistan begins its ninth year this week, 61 were arrested bringing a strong message to the White House that war, torture and drone bombing are outrageous, unacceptable and must end immediately. National anti-war groups and people from around the country joined together to say “No to War in Afghanistan. No to Torture and Vengeance.”
