An ecumenical service, followed by presentations, discussion and music rounded out an evening of ideas and reflections about nuclear weapons, and particularly the ones in Puget Sound. Wed 09 Dec 2009 12:11:55 PM ESTLynne Greenwald, of Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action, appeared in U. S. District Court in Tacoma, WA, Dec. 9, for a Detention Hearing. Greenwald was charged with trespassing for blocking the entry to the Kitsap Trident Naval Base while carrying the banner “Abolish Nuclear Weapons: Resist Trident” as part of Ground Zero’s Aug 10th recognition of the 64th Anniversary of the U.S. Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
