On May 17, 1968, Tom Lewis along with eight other men and women entered the Selective Service Offices in Catonsville, Maryland, removed several hundred draft records, and burned them with homemade napalm in protest against the war in Vietnam.

What I remember vividly about Tom was how he twinkled, and how he delighted in his political art. Remember those "stations of the cross" that he created to hang in St. Ignatius Hall during the C-9 trial later in 1968? They were so beautiful! Luminous!
